To some people it can be the bane of their existence, to others it is the epitome of their existence. Me? Probably somewhere in between. You learn to suppress certain emotions and let others flow freely, but which ones do you choose to be free can be a tough call to make.
Emotions are known to cloud your judgement, as unfortunate as that sounds. But, it’s also the only way to make certain judgement calls. I feel like there is a saying along the lines of…if you want to get hurt, think with your heart – otherwise use your brain for all calls. I can agree with that, however the problem with thinking with only your brain is you start to become desensitized to emotions. Everything becomes logical, statistical, loses its value, apathy starts to set in, etc. And you start to build walls up around yourself and your personality until those walls become so high, they eventually close in on you and you can’t get out. No matter how hard someone tries to come in, they can’t. No matter how hard you try to get out, you can’t. What then? How’s the logic working for you now my friend.
In addition to emotion, overthinking is the worst possible thing you could do to yourself. Enjoy the simplicity of the situation. Enjoy the simplicity of life momentarily. Things are not as ridiculous as you’re making them seem in your head.
Be kind. Be happy. Be true to you.
