SELF CONFIDENCE : THE CURE FOR INSECURITIES

A lot of people sees the people around them as a threat. They see them as someone who can drag them down. Someone who can greatly affect the way that they see things, the way that they foresee it and the way that they bring or present themselves infront of a crowd. This may seem really cliché but this is reality. This is what’s going on around us. Seeing other people as a threat is a clear sign of Insecurity. Insecurity is something that can really make us feel bad about ourselves. But, you do not need to worry anymore. Why? This is because insecurity has a CURE. “What is it?” you ask? That would be “SELF CONFIDENCE”. This is the perfect antidote for it. A lot may say that there is no cure, but for me, Self confidence is really the best cure that I can think of. I wouldn’t mind arguing with other people with this as a topic, because honestly, I can say that it is the ultimate cure that the humanity could ever have against our so called INSECURITY.

How we see things should not be based on what the others see, say or even think of. We should learn how to trust ourselves, how to believe and to stand on what we think is right. Having Self Confidence means to be able to express yourself fully, without thinking about what the others will say. You see, if we continue to rely on what they are saying, WE WILL NEVER BE or should I say “WE WILL NEVER LEARN” how to be independent. For example, in your group of friends, they will keep on telling you to stop singing and start joining them in their hobby of dancing because they think that you do not have the best voice around, no matter how hard you practice everyday.

You see, if you do exactly what they others are telling you to do so, you will definitely lose all the possible chances that you could ever have to become better on what you want and enjoy doing. But, if you have self confidence, no matter how pessimistic they’ll be, you will always have the courage to say “No, I will do this because I know I CAN.” . Are you getting what I’m saying? Sometimes the thing which we usually just took for granted are the things that can help us uplift ourselves and change the way that we see things.

Self confidence is really an issue nowadays. Just like what my friend told me ” To be able to do what you should be doing is a good thing but being able to do it confidently is another thing. ” . With that statement, I was indeed moved. I mean who wouldn’t, right? Not all people will help you understand how beautiful it is to become confident.

To be able to feel free about the things that you do and achieve. Just think of the line ” Confidently beautiful with a Heart ” . That was a line given by Miss Universe 2016, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Through that, she was able to encourage not just us Filipinos but also the rest of the people around the globe to be confident and proud. Having self confidence is really different from having insecurities.

You see, by being confident, you are paving a way to become a better person while slowly killing or eliminating the things that hinders your success, which are your insecurities at the same time.

To sum things up, for me, it is really good to be able to express yourself, and there is no other way to do this but with self confidence. To be confident means to be able to freely share and express yourself. To live your life the way that you want it to be and to be happy because finally, you are now free from different worries. Worries that goes like “Do I look okay? ” ” I am so fat ” ” Should I get my skin toned? ” and etc.

You see, these kind of worries are the things which hinders you to achieve your happiness and the fulfillment which you have longed for. The type of happiness which you have never felt because you were really busy with all your insecurities. But, if you are confident with yourself, you will see how perfectly imperfect and beautiful you and your life is with all your flaws and imperfections.

So, If I were you, ENOUGH ALREADY! Get up and show them and the rest of the world what you’ve got and how confident you can be with yourself.
